The pavilion is located on property immediately adjacent to the existing Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey campus.

The new pavilion houses key outpatient services, including those for chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as well as the major diagnostic modalities, inpatient cancer services and contains research laboratories that would enable physicians and scientists to rapidly translate scientific findings for doctors to help their patients.
